I grew up with a cinematographer as a brother. I was always surrounded by cameras, camera gear, and “technical talk”. In middle school I decided to pick up and point and shoot and, well, I never really put it down.
At the age of 16, with only a handful of shoots under my belt, my cinematographer brother’s best friend asked me to shoot his wedding. I was thrilled, nervous, and, quite frankly, had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I also had no idea that my brother’s best friend had just introduced me to my new found passion.
Since then I have discovered a love for photographing engagements, families, weddings, seniors, and other portrait shoots. I have also had the opportunity to travel to Haiti, Ukraine, Ecuador, and Greece to photograph for various non-profit organizations, and it is a goal of mine to do this type of work more often. Translation: if you are a part of a nonprofit in the U.S. or abroad that needs photographs, send me an email asap!
Now… a few interesting facts about myself!
