742A0902 copyI grew up with a cinematographer as a brother. I was always surrounded by cameras, camera gear, and “technical talk”. In middle school I decided to pick up and point and shoot and, well, I never really put it down.

At the age of 16, with only a handful of shoots under my belt, my cinematographer brother’s best friend asked me to shoot his wedding. I was thrilled, nervous, and, quite frankly, had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I also had no idea that my brother’s best friend had just introduced me to my new found passion.

Since then I have discovered a love for photographing engagements, families, weddings, seniors, and other portrait shoots. I have also had the opportunity to travel to Haiti, Ukraine, Ecuador, and Greece to photograph for various non-profit organizations, and it is a goal of mine to do this type of work more often. Translation: if you are a part of a nonprofit in the U.S. or abroad that needs photographs, send me an email asap!

Now… a few interesting facts about myself!

  • I received my undergraduate degree in Social Entrepreneurship from Belmont University in Nashville, TN
  • I have a Master’s in Social Work from Samford University in Birmingham, AL, and it’s a dream of mine to intertwine Social Work and photography!
  • I have nine siblings, seven of whom are adopted. Discounted session in store for all adoptive families. Holla!
  • I absolutely love to travel and have been to over 9 countries (hit me up if you’re getting married abroad!)
  • The Dark Knight is my favorite movie of all time
  • If it involves being outside then the answer is always yes. I love being outdoors!
  • I’m a mess most of the time but God’s grace is sufficient. God is my rock and my refuge, my sustainer and my Savior. Ask me about Him sometime!
